Questions? Here are a few answers
What is it like to own a Coon?
This feline breed is not like a regular house/barn cat.Their personalities are suitable to a dog, but still hold the independent side. Maine Coons have a striking appearance, but with that long, luscious fur, comes frequent care in grooming. It is best to keep the water dishes heavy and splash zones secure when a Coon joins the family!
Are your cats registered and health tested?
Absolutely. All our Maine Coons come with generational purebred pedigrees with TICA, full vaccination passport, and health certified by DVM Feline Specialist here in British Columbia. Our breeding felines are tested for genetic diseases and routine veterinary health checkups. Our oasis is built on strong Coons that are illness, and parasite clear.
Can you ship cats out of province/country?
No, we do not offer air flight service. If you plan to fly in, we can meet at Kelowna BC airport, or Vancouver BC airport, but accommodations to fly with the feline, is up to you. To keep everything as stress free as possible, it’s our preference to meet in person. However, we do offer personal delivery, within driving reason (6ish hrs) at a cost that can be discussed.
How much does it cost to adopt a Maine Coon?
Prices slightly vary depending on the gender, age (if adopting a retired Coon). Serious applicants will receive full details after applying.
What’s the adoption process like?
It starts with an application (see our Contact page). Once approved, you’ll be added to our contact list. Applications are assiduously read through so there is nothing missed. As you choose us to adopt one of our Maine Coons, we choose you to be a fit candidate. If we contact you and we have good vibes, then you’re approved to the waitlist, or if we have a baby that pairs well with you, then it’s adoption time.
I want a Coon to breed, can I buy breeding rights!?
Nope.
Can I come visit the furballs?
For the safety of our Maine Coons and the safety of our family, we do not allow visitors. We don’t even allow friends to “come snuggle” our pride and joys. While the babies are becoming little beasts, their developing immune systems don’t need added stress. Neither do we.
